In 2011, Martin Jaglin, Benjamin Fouquet and Grégory Rota, three long-time friends, decided to create their own video game, by and for soccer fans. In parallel with their respective jobs, they founded MPG – MonPetitGazon, a game of strategy, choices and probabilities, entirely free of charge.
Users select players from real soccer teams and compete against their friends in a virtual match every championship weekends. Five years later, MPG has gathered a community of over 200,000 users, prompting the three founders to launch a crowdfunding campaign, allowing users to actively contribute to the game’s evolution. More than 1,500 people are currently participating in the campaign.
“For Martin, Benjamin, and Grégory, this was the signal they were waiting for: they launched Mon Petit Gazon’s first mobile application and quit their respective jobs to devote themselves 100% to the project.
