Find out more about Ion Leahu-Aluas, CEO of DRIVECO and entrepreneur committed to the energy transition.

“I was determined to be part of this mobility revolution.” Born in Romania, Ion Leahu-Aluas grew up in the United States. A few years later, he continued his engineering studies in France, and although this stay was initially intended to last only a few months, Ion settled there permanently.

It all began on the roads of Corsica over 10 years ago. At the time, the engineer was involved in the construction of a photovoltaic power plant. During a car journey, he experienced a breakdown and realized the absurdity of the situation.

“There was an abundance of solar energy available, but my vehicle was completely immobilized. I realized just how much our dependence on fossil fuels was both practical and ecological nonsense. I was convinced that the future would undoubtedly be renewable and electric.”

In 2014, he joined DRIVECO as CEO, a solar-powered electric recharging project founded by Corsica Sole. Now a leader in electric mobility and the first charging network in France open to the public, DRIVECO’s mission is to decarbonize mobility.

In this episode of “dans un fauteuil”, discover the journey of Ion, an entrepreneur committed to the energy transition.
