The acronym V.U.C.A. (i.e., an acronym coined by the US military in the 1990s to describe a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous environment) has neverbeen more relevant than it is today, in this period of crisis caused by COVID-19. Uncertainty reigns supreme, and to cope with this unprecedented situation, the past is in no way predictive of the future. There is a need to adapt by changing both economic models and behaviors. This time, people around the world, and not just businesses, must completely reinvent not only their present, but also their future. What does the future hold? One thing is certain: it will be what we make of it, based on what emerges collectively, with each individual having a role to play in this co-construction.
