At a meet-up organized at H7, three speakers from the Notion community shared their tips, favorite tools and best practices for improving your project management.
Adopted by over 80,000 start-ups, Notion is the essential application for managing your projects, alone or with others. Inexpensive, it lets you organize your tasks, manage your projects and take notes, all in a single workspace that can accommodate up to 100 people free of charge.
Marie Gautron, Julie Bacconnier and Emmanuel Gutman, three entrepreneurs and Notion experts, share their best tips and tricks. Here's what we've learned.
Organize your time with Notion Calendar
Would you like to centralize your tools and integrate your calendar into Notion? For several months now, the platform has been offering a "Calendar" function to simplify your organization and boost productivity.
How do I do it?
Create your own Notion Calendar and synchronize it with other platforms! You can also create personalized booking links, integrate videoconferencing tools and customize your work views to suit your needs and optimize your organization.
Customize your workspace with templates
As soon as you discover Notion, use the templates provided by the platform to get to grips with the tool. To-do list templates, database views, editorial calendars... the possibilities are numerous, but require a little dexterity for effective use.
How do I go about it?
Even if the templates seem complete, it's essential to add your own personal touch, defined according to your objectives and needs. You can, for example, combine two templates, add properties, databases or integrate plugins, to create a tailor-made tool, adapted to your way of thinking, that will guarantee you greater ease of use and efficiency.

Assess your activity, productivity and workload
How much time do you spend on each task? How much effort does each task require? What is the added value for your business? If you've ever asked yourself any of these questions when looking at your to-do list, adopt the 1 - 3 scoring method.
How do I do it?
When you create a new task, assign a score between 1 and 3, taking into account the following criteria: time spent, effort and value to your business. This way, once you've rated all your tasks, you can easily take stock and prioritize them.
Improve your project management with the Russian Dolls method
Do you manage several projects in parallel and want to improve your management skills? Try the Russian doll method to evaluate your objectives and get a global view of your most efficient tasks.Â
How do you do it?
This method allows you to organize your management of objectives, key results and roadmaps using the sub-elements function. So you can manage all your projects by customizing the display of all your tasks, all on a single project page! Decide which features to display, and gain greater visibility of the links between your tasks and projects with this method.
