A few months ago, the Lyon Bar Association and H7 joined forces to discover, coach and support the LegalTech of tomorrow. Over the course of a day, the selected projects benefited from coaching and mentoring by legal and entrepreneurial experts. Discover Nemitis, Lawxer and Avocappli, winners of the 2nd edition of the competition.
Nemitis - Optimizing the time of individual lawyers
Founded by Lucas Beyet and Florian Pascouau
Founded in 2022 by Lucas and Florian Pascouau, Nemitis aims to revolutionize the day-to-day management of individual lawyers, with an interface designed to simplify case tracking and optimize professionals' time.
On a single platform, lawyers can view the progress of current cases, schedule reminders so they never miss a key deadline, manage invoices and reminders, and create documents automatically using pre-saved templates.
"Nemitis responds to a problem common to individual lawyers: manual management via Word or Excel, which sometimes complicates the follow-up of files. Our aim is to make daily life easier for lawyers and save them time on time-consuming tasks," explains Lucas Beyet.
Over the next few months, Nemitis aims to reach 1,000 users.
Lawxer - Artificial intelligence for easier contract management
Founded by François Gorriez and Serge Liatko
LAWXER was founded on the premise that regulations are becoming increasingly important, and therefore more difficult for individuals, businesses and legal professionals to master. What's more, contracts are becoming ever more voluminous.
To alleviate this problem, François Gorriez and Serge Liatko have created LAWXER, a contract analysis platform that provides decision support, negotiation assistance and problem detection. LAWXER's technology reads contracts clause by clause to detect risks and suggest improvements in the customer's interest.
"I had a strong appetite for legal innovation, with a clear objective in mind: to make life easier for lawyers and legal professionals thanks to new technologies," explains François Gorriez.
After more than a year in development, the tool is ready to be deployed to customers, notably lawyers and legal departments. " We want to position ourselves clearly: our technology is not intended to replace the work of lawyers, but to serve as a time-saving guide," concludes the co-founder.
Avocappli - Your lawyer always in your pocket
Founded by Chloé Vincent-Hytier and Bertrand Moutte
With Avocappli, Chloé and Bertrand want to enable clients of lawyers to keep in touch with their lawyer and track the progress of their case through a secure app. "In most cases, lawyers are no longer accessible once the case has started. Some apps offer to keep in touch and exchange medical documents with their doctors, so why not with their lawyer?" explain the two founders.
Within an app, available on Android and iOS, the user can exchange e-mails, access a retroplanning of the case, track billing deadlines and contact his lawyer. "The idea is to have your lawyer with you at all times, thanks to an app in which all the essential elements of your case are centralized," explain Chloé and Bertrand.
In the coming months, the Avocappli team will continue to develop the technology, launch brand communication and seek new partners, particularly financial ones.
